Lorilea (Lea) completed a bachelor of Psychological Science at Bond University and Post-graduate diploma as well as Masters of Educational and Developmental Psychology at Queensland University of Technology. Her area of academic research explored a parenting program for parents of adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Lorilea has a particular interest in working with relationships across the lifespan such as parent-child relationships, partner and family relationships and believes healthy relationships are a vital to happiness and harmony. Lorilea has a sensitive, caring approach to therapy and believes in creating a nurturing and nonjudgmental space.
She is passionate about helping children, young people and their families. In particular promoting parents own strengths as well as providing skills and support. Lorilea also has a special interest in working with children and adults with anxiety, depression and sexual identity concerns.
As an Education and Developmental Psychologist, Lorilea is trained in assessing intellectual functioning and learning disorders including, Reading Disorders (Dyslexia), Disorder of Written Expression (Dysgraphia), Maths Disorder (Dyscalculia), School readiness/repeating.
Outside of her professional life Lorilea practices yoga and meditation and enjoys reading, water-sports, creative/artistic activities and being outdoors in nature.
